Mitch Hedberg - Do you believe in gosh ?

Mitch Hedberg, one of comedys greats.
Undoubtedly some of Mitch'es finest work here and the last album he made before his speedball overdose.

Wikipedia: Mitchell  Lee ''Mitch'' Hedberg (February 1968 - March 30 2005) was an american stand up comedian known for his surreal humor and unconventional comic delivery, His comedy typically featured short, sometimes one-line-jokes, mixed with absurd element and non sequiturs.

Immolation - Providence EP

Today is a beautiful day. I managed to track down a store that still sells stones 15th anniversary limited release beer, the almighty escondidian imperial black IPA which is one of the best beers ever to grace my liver. I am also currently working on a clone of this beer. which i will post here if it turns out well. theres nothing more frightening than a limited release beer that you love going away.
And just when i think this day cant get any better. I find out through facebook that my favorite christian metal band IMMOLATION has released a new ep FREE to download. bless their hearts. this fucker is going on repeat all day till i can see these guys live on tour with jungle rot on the 22nd. (fuck yeah!) i cant wait to pray with them after the show.
oh yeah to give you an idea of what it sounds like, its pretty much an extension of majesty and decay. which i have no problems with.in other words... it fuckin rules. cheers!!

note: id also like to thank death metal pornos and beer blog for the download link. i could not find that damn thing myself. thanks guys!

Pope Adrian 37th Psychiatric

Ever wonder how Rudimentary Peni got their name? or even what the hell it meant? I always assumed it meant ''simple penis'' which is pretty accurate actually. From Wikipedia:

''In Maximum RocknRoll, issue #237 (February 2003), Matthews (bass) explains how he came up with the name of the band: "When I was at school studying biology, we were told that in the fetal stage the clitoris is a rudimentary penis."

Pope Adrian 37th Psychristiatric is a concept album by the band Rudimentary Peni released in 1995. The majority of the album was written while lead singer/guitarist Nick Blinko was being detained in a psychiatric hospital under Section 3 of the 1983 Mental Health Act. The subject matter of the album relates to the delusions Blinko was experiencing at the time, particularly the idea that he was "Pope Adrian 37th" — a reference to Pope Adrian IV.
Adding to the album's unique sound, the pseudo-latinized phrase "Popus Adrianus" is looped and can be heard in the background through the entire album.

Hypnotizing to say the least, this is one of Peni's best if not THE BEST LP they have on tap. just check out this bass line...

APOCRYPHON

Well shit, I should have done this alot sooner but I needed time for this fuckin sweet EP to fully digest.....

                                                                                EP
What we have here is Illcon Bros Peter and Shelby Cobras spewing forth some kick ass jams out of the depths of their sick little minds. True Songs about reptilians taking over, psychedelic drugs, and general bloodshed. What more could you ask for?.Killer artwork too. Check out their bandcamp page here. Then head over here and buy some shirts and shit so these guys can gather enough money to play down here in southern california.

On the seventh day god created ...Stone Escondidian Imperial Black IPA

Ive been really happy with stones limited releases lately, the japanese green tea IPA which I wrote about, the chocolate cherry stout, and now the Escondidian Imperial Black IPA which is just a perfect beautiful beer.

The aroma hits very fresh, nice dry hopping. The mouth feel is just right, and the taste is of an aggressively hopped stone ipa with just the right amount of roastiness. slight notes of alcohol 10.5% :)
Now ive tried several black IPA's and had no luck. some have even made they're way down the drain. It seems like a challenge to balance a black IPA. So I tell the truth when I say this is the best black IPA I have had to date. HIGHLY recommended. 4.5/5

Also on another note: if you live in the coachella valley like me and your looking for good beer check out the cvbeerscene for information on which pubs serve good beer and what stores sell good beer.
cheers!

Bonus: While I was writing this beer review ive been listening to one of my favorite master albums....
